Ultimaker 2 – 3D printing timelapse of a beautiful Deer model

3D Printing of a Christmas Deer based on Thingiverse model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:571949

An excellent model that prints really well. Only issue was with the left back leg that was hit by the nozzle at 1:15 Luckily this didn’t affect the rest of the printing and resulted in just a small defect. Everything else printed beautifully.

Material: PLA (Ultimaker), Infill: 20%, Bed temperature: 75°C, Nozzle temperature: 210°C, Print speed: 40mm/s

3D printing in the future | Jacob Brown | TEDxYouth@UTS

In this talk, Jacob explores how the nascent technology of 3D printing is opening up the “next chapter” of industry and commerce, and how it will ultimately change everyday life as we know it.

Jacob Brown has always been a huge fan of TED talks, and is excited for the opportunity to be onstage. Aside from his full-time occupation as a grade 10 student at UTS, Jacob is an outdoor enthusiast who loves skiing, hiking, cycling, and camping. Jacob is also no stranger to public speaking. At the age of 8 he earned his first pay cheque of 25 dollars, for a delivering a speech prophetically entitled “The Future” at the Royal Canadian Legion Public Speaking Championship. He continues his speaking prowess as a successful member of the UTS DECA and Debating organizations.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
